T-Twisters May 2010 Newsletter

I apologize to all of you for being tardy again with this newsletter. I’ve been in Lubbock for the past week with my brother, who is in ICU at covenant Hospital. He was life-flighted from his home in Portales on the 23rd of April, and by the time I was called about it, he had stopped breathing and was on a ventilator. The Doctors can’t tell us why he’s sick, but can tell us what is wrong with him, and the list is lengthy. He’s in complete renal failure, his heart is only pumping at 20%, and his liver is sick, has pneumonia and has an unknown infection through out his blood system. AND diabetic on top of it all!!

He has made some progress, though. At last report, his liver blood work is better and he’s been more alert the past couple days. I’m going back to Lubbock tomorrow to see him, will stay there through the weekend. I give Praise and Glory to God for his improvements, and thank Him for the improvements to come!

The state rally at Snyder was a good one from all reports. Ed, Eddie, Ronnie, Charlie, Bobby, Tom and Tommye were there, and also Tom Webb! It was great to hear that he’s out and about, and doing well. He’s still a little weak, but gaining every day!
AND, I was told to ask Bobby how he liked the armadillo…pee??? OK, Bobby, ‘fess up…what’s armadillo pee? And did you like it???


Al, Ed, Eddie, Tom and Ronnie all made the San Angelo rally. Although the weather didn’t cooperate, I heard reports that “Edyee” and “Edwina” showed up and helped out, along with their pimp, (who shall remain nameless). Together the three of them managed to shake over $350.00 from the pockets of the sparse crowd for the 50/50 drawing. Good job, ladies!

OK, pay attention here. The annual Fourth of July picnic will be held this year on the 3rd of July, still at Eddie Rays and Wilma’s. Why the change, you ask? There is going to be a wedding on the 4th of July instead! Our daughter, Nicky, is marring Travis Jensen, whom most of you have met. All T-Twisters are invited! There will be more about this in next month’s newsletter.

Happy birthday to Bob Walker on the 28th! Hope it’s a great one, Bob. And Bob is celebrating an anniversary with his wonderful wife Jan, on the 5th!
Eddie Ray and Wilma are also celebrating an anniversary this month, their 20th! These two have a wonderful late anniversary trip planned, and I’m jealous! Ask them about it!
