Red River camping ground (where we usually stay) is not ready for Ruidoso Aspencade Rally due to Flooding and continueal ran Ruidoso has been having. It was dicussed and approved to stay at

Mama Bear's Camp ground in Capitan, NM instead.

Friends, how long has it been since you had a piping hot bowl of Wolf Brand Chili? Well I don�t know if Wolf Brand will be served in Buffalo Gap at the Chili cook off to be held there � but, I bet there will be some that will make your tongue slap your brain!

It was brought up that River Ranch-were we usually campout for the Aspen Cash Rally might not be ready from the flood by time of Rally. Any suggestions on other places around Rudioso?

Eric's dad is going to check out River Ranch and keep us informed how it's progressing.

It's not that far away. If it was like Odessa it would be dry in no time but they have been having rain almost every day up there so slow to recover.

Mike & I just got back from our Summer Vacation. We went to Taos area. We set up a base camp outside of Taos and did day excursions doing the enhanced Circle, Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, and Chama. Got rained on almost every day and some days weather was down right cold, but had a wonderful time. Here are a few pictures. Just wanted to let you know that a group of us are going to attend the motorcycle rally in Snyder this Friday. We are going to meet the CMA's at the Pilot station at I-20 and 1788 then ride with them to the rally.The time of departure is promptly at 8:45 a.m. ( Bob said kickstands up at 8;45).

There will a Charity Motorcycle Show for DQ Robinson who was killed while riding his motorcycle last month. He was ran over by a drunk driver. 100% of proceeds will go to his wife and children.

Six of us from Midland road from Midland over to Robert Lee via Sterling City today. It was cool to see all of the turbines generating electricity east of Sterling City - well it a little cooler to me than most because we co developed that wind farm (Capricorn Ridge) with FPL Energy!

Anyway, we ate at the Cracker Barrel (not sure how they get by with that) and the food was fantastic. I myself, had the chicken fried steak and about 4 diet cokes!

Once we left at around 1pm - we rode ...

Friday Night Supper Run

Had a Really Great Supper Run last night. The Weather was awesome. Beautiful evening for a ride. Met Bobby & Phillip at the VN Memorial. While we were waiting to see if any one else showed up a lady drove up to take a picture of the VN Memorial and we got to visit. She was from California and has her own motorcycle. She's a member of WOW and rides her BMW motorcycle a lot. Set and visited for about 30 min. Than we rode to Midland to place called Cabo Mexican Food. It wasnt much to look ...

Just found out about this group, so will just kinda watch from the sideline for a while.

Bad Medicine was taken from Navy days as a Corpsman with the Marine Corps.

Name is Robert, wife is Barbara. Been riding since the 60's, just don't remember much. Out of saddle till 2005. Ride a Vulcan 1500.

Guess that's about it.

Maybe this will ease the pain of gas prices?

Iraan Bike Rally Report

One of the T-Twisters - Dana Beck hosted the Iraan SportBike Rally Sat at the Park. With all the Chili dogs, cokes & water you could eat and drink. Weather was excellent. We spotted a few other T-Twisters there, Eric, Dennis & Denise. More might have came but we took off and left early to go 200 mile ride around Sheffield. Went down a long long County Road that dead ends after 40 miles. Nice Rally, Nice Ride, Nice Weather, Nice Fellowship what more could you want.

My Favorite Ride is the One I am riding at the time, I am sure....

Sitting in my garage is a gaggle of bikes. If I had to pick a favorite and had to pick one bike I sure would lean to wards the KLR 650. It's truly an adventure Bike!!! But the list goes like this:

Honda ST 1300

Suzuki DL 1000

Suzuki Gixer 1000

Kawasaki ZG 1000 Concourse (kind of, standard bike)

Honda Shadow VT 700

Kawasaki KLR 650 times 2

I am good at buying just not good at selling that's why I have so many.

I go by Screaming Eagle - I ride a 2005 Harley Fatboy with a factory installed Screaming Eagle performance package. Lots of chrome and a powder coated frame to boot.

It will cut a seriously hole in the wind to say the least.

I am in the Wind Energy business - develop wind farms - a number of ride at our office and we named our little group the Wind Hawgs. Yes it is a play off the the Wild Hogs movie - most of us are a little bit like those guys and the name just seemed appropiate ...

Gas price's

Just got off my ST board, A liter of gas in Canada

is 1.25 per liter, That works out to about 5 US dollars per gallon,,, In the U.K they are paying 10 dollars a gallon,,,, We got it good at under 4 bucks a gallon......

I used to fill my Honda mini Trail up for 19 cents

Back then gas was only 25 cents a gallon......
